Stainless steel exhaust rod is a metal support component used in a vehicle's exhaust system to help suspend and stabilise exhaust pipes and mufflers. Made of 304 grade stainless, they are typically welded or bolted to the exhaust tubing, the rod works in conjunction with rubber hangers to isolate vibrations and allow some movement while keeping the exhaust system securely in place.
